Relevancy

  • Chris Mailander:

Every CEO knows the moment. They're sitting in the conference room and they've taken in all of the advice. And yet they're not achieving that breakthrough to the toughest questions that are facing the business. They haven't found that unlock.

And so there's a series of questions that the CEO will ask, sometimes to the people gathered around that conference table. But more likely it's the set of questions that you are mulling in your own mind quietly, over and over.

And they sound like this, which is:

How do I create the company that we need to be when no one else has ever done this before?

What is this company really worth? And how do I unlock that value?

This team sitting around the table, they're great. They've gotten us to this place. I'm loyal to them. They will be part of our journey going forward. But there's something missing. We're not getting that unlock. How do we do that? How do we punch through to the next higher level?

What is it that I'm not seeing that is hurting our enterprise value?

And how do I know what the right moment is? Am I too early? Am I too late? I've got to get that just right.

Where is the thinking that's going to elevate us? How do we construct the conditions and the structure to create that breakthrough?

These are the questions. And this is precisely why we created Mailander.
